Hydrogen Peroxide as preventative for Coronavirus? Vitamins D3 & K2 for your immune system.

Your immune system is critical to staying healthy and avoiding nasty viruses so pumping it up for maximum efficiency is a critical component of life saving self care. Supplements and smart preventive care are the starting points for achieving optimal health.

Many healthcare professionals, their websites, research and opinions are banned by Facebook and Twitter; you cannot directly post links from banned websites.  Nevertheless, truth and information are still spreading as vitally important information gets posted on alternative websites and blogs that are not currently banned.

Dr. Joseph Mercola and his website Mercola.com are targeted and banned by health censors.  Dr. Mercola recently had 2 very interesting articles that are worth reading because they relate to COVID and offer options to improve your immune system's ability to fight COVID.

Could Hydrogen Peroxide Treat Coronavirus?

Can an inexpensive and easy to administer at-home treatment treat the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2? According to Dr. Thomas Levy,1 the answer is yes. The remedy in question is hydrogen peroxide, aerosolized in any standard nebulizer.

Originally conceptualized in the early '90s by Dr. Charles Farr,2,3 hydrogen peroxide treatment can successfully treat most viral respiratory illnesses, including coronavirus. According to Levy:

"While different individuals can be expected to have variable degrees of positive response, this intervention can be anticipated to eliminate eventual fatal disease outcomes in all but the most advanced cases."

It's worth keeping in mind that while the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions are at increased risk of serious complications and death, the overall mortality rate of COVID-19 appears to be quite low, and very similar to influenza.

Dr. Mercola and other health professionals have studied research that indicates that Vitamin D deficiencies make folks more susceptible to COVID.

Study finds over 80 percent of COVID-19 patients have vitamin D deficiency Endocrine.org

More Vitamin D, Lower Risk of Severe COVID-19? Web MD

Spanish researchers tested how prescription vitamin D could affect people hospitalized with COVID. Of the 50 who received it, only one needed the intensive care unit (ICU), and none died. Among 26 patients who did not receive the vitamin, 13 needed ICU care and two died.

Interesting Note on Fauci and Vitamin D

As reviewed in an earlier article, long before SARS-CoV-2 became part of everyday life, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), believed vitamin C and D were important strategies for enhancing your body's immune system. Just four years ago, he was interviewed by a reporter from Washingtonian on how to avoid getting sick.

He explained the importance of washing your hands, clipping your nails and getting enough sleep. A fourth strategy he discussed was using vitamin C and D supplements:30

"It can enhance your body's defense against microbes. I take 1,000 milligrams a day. Many people also do not get enough vitamin D, which affects a lot of body functions, so that would be helpful, too."

In the current pandemic, the U.S. has placed inexpensive, patent-free nutritional supplements in second place to drugs and vaccines, which come with a high price tag in addition to unwelcome side effects.

In a more recent interview with RealClearPolitics, Fauci appeared to hedge his opinion.

The above Mercola article also provides a link for a Vitamin D test kit (here).  Many healthcare professionals believe that you need a vitamin D test to ascertain if you are deficient and the level of deficiency.  Only then can you correct any deficiency with appropriate supplement levels.

I will continue to post information on COVID along with articles that recommend natural non-pharmaceutical recommendations in minimizing the risks of COVID.
